Weightman Hall is located next to Franklin Field and is home to Penn Athletics Department and Penn Sports Medicine. The entryway steps and the space beneath suffered from water infiltration for some time and restoration work was required. Knapp Masonry got the job to rehabilitate the concrete beams supporting the steps and landing area. Originally proposed as a patching job it quickly became evident that the beams needed to be replaced along with the stair stringers and shoring was required. We created forms to pour new beams in situ and erected new block walls, grouted solid, to take the brownstone stair treads when the time comes to reset them.
