Working with Materials Conservation Collaborative, Knapp Masonry restored the low granite wall at the base of the monument mound as the stones had become displaced over the years. This involved excavating both sides of the low wall to reposition and align the stones. New plantings were also added and MCC restored the eagle atop the pillar.
